PRIME MINISTER OF SAINT KITTS AND NEVIS, THE HONOURABLE DR. TERRANCE DREW, LEADS DELEGATION TO ACTIF2025 IN GRENADA
Basseterre, Saint Kitts, July 27, 2025 (SKNIS): Prime Minister of Saint Kitts and Nevis, the Honourable Dr. Terrance Drew, is leading a high-level delegation to the fourth edition of the AfriCaribbean Trade and Investment Forum (ACTIF2025), scheduled to take place from July 28 to 29, 2025, in St. George’s, Grenada.
Held under the theme “Resilience and Transformation:Enhancing Africa-Caribbean Economic Cooperation in an Era of Global Uncertainty,” ACTIF2025 is convened by the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) and aims to strengthen commercial, economic, and cultural ties between Africa and the Caribbean.
Joining Prime Minister Drew on the delegation are the Honourable Samal Duggins, Minister of Agriculture et al; Carlton Pogson, representing the Ministry of Finance; Naeemah Hazelle, Permanent Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office, and Sherema Matthew, Director of the St. Kitts and Nevis Information Service (SKNIS).
The ACTIF2025 forum will serve as a strategic platform for dialogue, deal-making, and cooperation between governments and private sector actors from both regions. With trade between Africa and the Caribbean projected to reach USD $1.8 billion by 2028, ACTIF2025 is expected to advance meaningful collaboration in key areas such as processed foods, minerals and metals, transportation, and logistics.
Prime Minister Drew’s participation reaffirms Saint Kitts and Nevis’ commitment to building resilient and transformative partnerships that align with the Federation’s economic development agenda and global positioning strategy.
